Working Vintage 1930’s Continental Typewriter-New Ribbon, Case-Burgundy-Made in Saxony

Working vintage Continental manual portable typewriter located in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, we confirmed that this pre-WW2 model was manufactured towards the end of the 1930’s. Despite its age, this German made machine works exquisitely well! The comfortable glass keys are responsive, soft and smooth when typing and the whole process of typing is relaxing and enjoyable, as the typewriter requires minimum effort to operate the light touch keys. The backspace, the bell, the shift keys, margin setters, ribbon colour switch, the carriage release lever and the paper release lever all work as intended. This stunning typewriter is fitted with a new black ribbon and the machine is ready for an instant use. Also comes with the original case.

The overall condition is good! The Continental functions as expected and minor signs of use and age are present. Please refer to the photos.

The rare burgundy Continental typewriter would be ideal for writers and authors, especially in the creative field. It would also make a unique gift. Due to the style and the aesthetics of the 1930’s Continental typewriter, it can be used for display purposes like home decor and events such as exhibitions and weddings. It appeals to all generations.
