Working Vintage 1960s Hermes Baby Manual Typewriter – New Ribbon, Case – Made in Switzerland
Working Hermes Baby vintage, manual portable typewriter in London, UK. After some research on the serial code, I concluded that it was produced in the 1960s. Taking into account it has been in use since then, the typewriter works well and retains all its functions. The comfortable keys are responsive and light when typing, allowing the finger tips to lie, relaxed on the keys. The backspace, carriage return lever, the bell, the shift keys, margin setters, the carriage release lever, the paper guide and the paper release lever all work as intended. This Swiss made typewriter is fitted with a new ribbon so you can type as soon as you get it. Also comes with the original case which has a comfortable handle.
The overall condition is very good. All letter keys type well. Minor signs of use and age are present. Please refer to the photos.
The Hermes Baby typewriter would be ideal for beginners and typists as the keys do not require much force. The typewriter is small in size and light in weight, therefore it is very appropriate to take with you if you are planning a creative writing retreat. It appeals to all generations.
